Prototype - synthetic data

Northstar Operational Review

Kamiwaza on premises, Northstar site. Data stays here; inference runs locally; no central copy.

Prototype - synthetic data. Case, people, documents and numbers are invented for this demo, except evidence IDs (E01-E14) from the case pack.

Ask about this case

Answers use only sources you can open in the source system, checked at query time E07. Every claim links to its source E06.

Review packet (standard format)

Prototype - synthetic data. One packet format for every case E05 E10. Disposition is recorded by a human reviewer only; automatic disposition is off E06.

Decision log

Prototype - synthetic data.

Principle
AI assumptions, decisions, prompts and commands are never silently overwritten.
  1. Every change is a new numbered version; nothing is edited in place.
  2. A human approves a change before it becomes current. The person who proposed it cannot approve it.
  3. The original AI version and every rejected version are kept and stay visible.
  4. Each step is written to the append-only audit trail with model and prompt version E06 E14.

Audit trail

Prototype - synthetic data. Append-only: entries are added, never changed or removed E14. Records approver, source set, model and prompt version, edits and disposition E06.

Where this runs

Prototype - synthetic data. Architecture framed on Kamiwaza's published model (Inference Mesh, Distributed Data Engine): compute goes to the data; nothing is copied to a central store.

Not in release 1 (stated in the case): broader integrations, model training, new identity infrastructure (scenario); field-level redaction across all sources does not exist E14, so restricted sources are excluded whole rather than redacted; existing access groups are reused E07.
Kamiwaza platform notes (vendor pages, from research): agents act with exactly the requesting user's permissions, resolved at query time, and an audit log records user, data accessed, rule applied and time (kamiwaza.ai insurance architecture page, read). Kamiwaza's security page also notes protecting source data does not automatically cover embeddings or other derived data, which is why this prototype re-checks sources before any packet export.
